Is the giant £25 croissant worth it?
OH MY GOSH!
WHAT THE HECK IS HAPPENING!!!
THIS IS INSANE!
NO… NO… NO…
IT’S RIDICULOUS!
IT CAN’T BE RIGHT… ARE YOU SERIOUS!
I DON’T EVEN KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH MYSELF RIGHT NOW… IT’S LIKE MY DREAMS HAVE COME TRUE!
Right now you’re wondering what the heck is happening… has everyone gone mad! But this was our genuine reaction to the GIANT CROISSANT! I just couldn’t stop laughing, it felt so surreal. Is this what it’s like to be real tiny and see normal sized food? I think everyone can agree the food is so much better when it’s really really tiny or gigantic! Wow this bought us a lot of joy.
Today we’re talking about the Giant Croissant from Philippe Conticini - you’ll remember him from our London Crawl Blog - but we had to take a moment to talk about his £25 Giant Croissant.
We’ve had so many cynics tell us that these giant pastries aren’t worth it. But the sheer joy that this has brought us is worth it. It gave us that feeling of levitation, where your so giddy with excitement it’s like your stomach is trying to float out of your body! We might even have been salivating into a new state of euphoria! Just it being sat there, on the table, was exciting.
Over the years, we’ve had a lot of viral pastries… and they’ve been nasty! Everyone’s posted up saying how great they are… and let’s be real… it’s all been lies! It’s okay… I get it… so we’re so intrigued. The sheer unique size has been a joy but does the taste match up?
Here’s our verdict. The size is wonderful, but the actual taste isn’t the best… it’s not the worst… but it’s not the best. It’s got a similar texture to a supermarket pan chocolat. The texture is a little chewy and the flavour isn't our of this world. We think that this is just fun for the novelty of it.
Let us know in the comments your thoughts - do you get as much enjoyment out of tiny food as us?
