All about food…
Recently, we had the pleasure of spending some time in the idyllic French countryside, and when in France it’s important to engage in the culture. This time we weren’t looking at baguettes or croissants. This time we tried a children’s classic. You may have heard of it or maybe not with the very French name of: Teisseire Sirop de Plantes Menthe. We translated it to Mint Syrup… now, people might think this is a weird sounding drink and if you’re a little nervous to try it! Do not worry! We’ve done it for you - check it out below:
For a long time we thought we were set on our favourite pasta place in London. We were big fans of Padella, a cute pasta restaurant in Borough Market that was delivering the goods… like so much so that we would give it the Grackle stamp of approval to people in conversation. It was our favourite, the one, the best… or so we thought!
There is nothing like a trip to Costco. Its exclusivity and expansive wide ranging delights are almost worth a day out exploring in themselves. We like to plan in a Costco trip every now and then stock up on some of our favourite things, but sometimes it’s important to take stock of all of the goodies that it has to offer, and for you American’s you get a taste of some of the English Costco options.
There’s nothing like a fan favourite, Chicken and Chips! It’s a classic, a staple, a meal eaten far and wide across the UK. We recently sought out a VIRAL rotisserie chicken and chip shop named: Bébé Bob; a restaurant that is winning with its name - but is it winning with its chicken? We’re going to find out…
For this outing we’re heading to try the tantalising delights of Milk Beach in London. They’ve got two restaurants - one in Queen’s Park and one in Soho. Milk Beach have branded themselves as an ‘Modern Australian’ dining and we won’t lie we’re intrigued to head out and try their famous breakfast. One of the things I love is when restaurants chains allow a bit of diversity and Milk Beach has different menu’s at the different locations.
We’re going to try a variation of the classic Yoghurt Cake recipe using a Pot of Joy! Come and have a read and find out how it turned out…
It has come to my attention that not every country in the world is aware of the delicious delights offered by a chunk of Rocky Road. And that is absolutely crazy to me as it's such a British staple; all bakeries and Christmas fairs have them, like we grew up making and eating this stuff and I can’t believe people don’t know about it because in the UK it’s just everywhere.
Check out the biggest 20’’ pizza in London - we visited HomeSlice and had the best time…
We travelled 1.5 hours to find this incredible bakery - check out the blog to find out how it went! I’ll give you a sneak peak - we loved it!
This Lasagne Soup recipe has taken the internet by storm!! We got the inspiration from the wonderful Bored of Lunch who gave us an expert guide through the recipe. After trying it ourselves all we can say is how easy and fantastically delicious it is!
