Everything you can get for FREE on your birthday!

I think we can all agree here… nothing tastes better than free food!

If you really wanted you could pretty much create a birthday week of free food - all it would take is a little planning, your ID and a few reward apps. They’re no fools nowadays.

And what better way to spend a birthday than running around and finding all of the free goodies on offer. To help you in your search we’ve gone ahead and tried it ourselves - so that you can go and treat yo self on your birthday.

BOOST

We started the birthday celebrations by heading to BOOST JUICE - and of course in classic fashion we had to go for the most expensive one we could get- £7 - it turned out to be a juice with mint in it… so maybe next time I’ll just go for a smoothie.

How to claim: You need to sign up to the BOOST Vibe Club and you score a free boost on your birthday via the app.

HOTEL CHOCOLAT

We then headed off to Hotel Chocolat - one of my absolute faves. Their deal is really good because you can either get something for £5 or put £5 towards something. I decided to go for a bag of Gemstones as I just can’t get enough of that rich chocolatey goodness.

How to claim: You need to sign up for a Hotel Chocolat VIP card and then active it online. Make sure you’ve signed up a few weeks before your birthday so you don’t miss out.

T&C’s: Rewards will be sent two weeks before your birthday and it’s valid for 30 days.

LIDL

You can’t have a birthday without popping into a supermarket and luckily on your birthday Lidl offer the choice between a doughnut and a cookie. We went for the cookie - you know what Lidl’s cookie really hit the spot.

How to claim: To get your free doughnut you need to sign up to the Lidl Plus App and then the coupon will show up in the vouchers section.

T&C’s: This voucher is valid for 7 days.

KRISPY KREME

Krispy Kreme is a fan favourite. Everyone knows about their birthday offer - a WHOLE free doughnut! Yum. You can get any doughnut for free which we think is excellent and of course we had to go for the chocolate sprinkle one because it’s the best, and let me tell you we enjoyed every single last mouthful. Yum, yum, yum!

How to claim: Join Krispy Kreme rewards. You get a free dougnut just for that - then add the birthday rewards to your app to show it in store.

T&C’s: This offer is only valid in store and not in supermarket krispy kreme stands.

COSTA

You know we can’t do a birthday without a lil trip to a coffee shop - and you know we’re usually starbies fans here… but when Costa have a deal on let me tell you my loyalties are switching sides. Costa offer a whole slice of birthday cake… unfortunately they had run out of birthdays and so we got a piece of carrot cake - which hit the spot!

How to claim: You need to sign up for the Cost Club and then enter your birthday on the website/ app. Then on your birthday you get sent an electronic cake voucher! What fun.

T&C’s: These vouchers have a 7 day expiry on them.

GAIL’S

This is a bit of a new one to the line up. We’ve been a Gail’s fan for a while. If you download their rewards app than on your birthday you can help yourself to one of their morning goods. Of course we had to go for the Almond croissant because it’s so flipping good.

How to claim: You need to download the mobile app to your phone and you will be given a voucher on your app during the month of your birthday.

GREGGS

Finally, to finish off our day we had to visit Greggs and get a little sweet treat. We got a cupcake and it was delicious. What a great way to finish your birthday off.

Subway

Birthday Freebie: A Free Cookie

How to claim: You need to join the Subway Rewards and you’ll get an email on your birthday allowing you to scan your app in-store for your free cookie.
