This is the Best Pasta Spot in London
For a long time we thought we were set on our favourite pasta place in London. We were big fans of Padella, a cute pasta restaurant in Borough Market that was delivering the goods… like so much so that we would give it the Grackle stamp of approval to people in conversation. It was our favourite, the one, the best… or so we thought!

It was our favourite, the one, the best… or so we thought!
We’ve been dying to try this new spot on the block - Flour and Grape. Found nestled in the busy streets of Bermondsey we could not wait to try it and luckily enough our day came and we managed to go when there was no queue and oh my goodness this place blows Padella out of the water.
Take a look below and see our review:
Now don’t get me wrong Padella is still good. We just think that Flour and Grape is a whole level up. If we’re going to eat out then the likelihood is that we’re all going to do a sharing thing as we like to get a little taste of everything. That’s just the way it has to be so you can talk about the different foods and everyone knows what’s going on.
So we started with some Nocerellas as you know I just can’t hold back from those sweet olives. We then moved onto the main dishes and we ordered a selection: We had the Anolini - which was a delicious spinach pasta, The Ravioli with ricotta pumpkin and almonds! YUM! We also had the spaghetti Carbonara which was just delightful. All of the items we ordered were creamy and delicious and just had that perfect blend of Italian flavours that makes pasta feel like home.
If you saw my reaction to them all it went something like this…. ‘oh wow… oh my goodness…’ and that continued for quite some time as we obsessed over this pasta. It was giving some seriously good times.
The main takeaway from my experience here is that the food is just absolutely delicious. A solid 10/10. We loved the service which was fantastic; they were attentive and chilled and even better is that the still and sparkling water was complimentary!
Overall, the vibes at Flour and Grape are immaculate - they did everything right from the food to the portion sizes to the atmosphere; making this is my new favourite pasta spot in London.

The Best Breakfast Spot in London!
For this outing we’re heading to try the tantalising delights of Milk Beach in London. They’ve got two restaurants - one in Queen’s Park and one in Soho. Milk Beach have branded themselves as an ‘Modern Australian’ dining and we won’t lie we’re intrigued to head out and try their famous breakfast. One of the things I love is when restaurants chains allow a bit of diversity and Milk Beach has different menu’s at the different locations.
Welcome back to Here and There and this time we’re trying out the BEST breakfast spot in London. One of the things we pride ourselves on fair patrons is giving honest reviews of the hyped up spots on the internet. You may have even heard it said that we’re the Simon Cowell of Food reviews - FIRM BUT FAIR.

One of the things I love is when restaurants chains allow a bit of diversity and Milk Beach has different menu’s at the different locations.
When we walked in - oh my goodness - we loved it! It was exactly our vibe from the soft pink of the sign, to their modern decor and minimalist design. We’re also a big fan of wooden features and Milk Beach had that aplenty. But, sometimes with restaurants that look really stylish they don’t always live up the hype. We get a bit worried that it is all style over substance. It’s not actually going to deliver the good food! And at the end of the day - when you go to a restaurant the food is what’s important y’know!
We ordered breakfast and we went for the pancakes - they looked absolutely delicious, with some yoghurt and a caramelised banana. And let me tell you… it was absolutely heavenly. We’re not exaggerating here, but this is the best pancake breakfast we have ever had in London. The yolk was perfectly yellow and drippy, the banana was like a creme brulee - crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside. The pancakes were thick; which isn’t our usual style. We’re more of a crepe family, but they were soft in the middle. Delicious!
Overall, Milk Beach was absolutely fantastic! The service was incredible, the food was insanely delicious and one thing that always sells me at these places is the staff. They could not have been more attentive and friendly. Plus! They all looked like models… like what the heck!
Milk Beach totally lived up to the hype - we had an incredible time. Finally, cos you know we love a look around the bathroom. They even had cocktail sticks for your teeth in the bathroom, what a great idea! We loved it.
If you’ve been to Milk Beach we would love to know your thoughts in the comments!
The Biggest 20’’ Pizza in London!
Check out the biggest 20’’ pizza in London - we visited HomeSlice and had the best time…
What’s up Home Slice - as you may know, we’re on an eternal quest to find the biggest cylindrical shaped foods in London! We’ve done the cookie, so now it was time for the biggest Pizza we could find! Come with us as we take you around the streets of London and land on our own slice of Italian heaven, a pizza that is a whole 20’’… This bad boy has been on our radar for a while and we know you’re going to love it!
This perfect pizza place is called HomeSlice, they began back in 2011 and have restaurants in Central London. Starting in marketplaces and local events, HomeSlice quickly developed into a fan favourite and settled down ready to deliver us with some top quality Pizza.
We were dubious at first about HomeSlice. You know when you hear on the vine that a pizza place is just so good and you’re getting all excited and you’re salavating and just the thought of a delicious slice of pizza is driving you WILD! Well that’s where we were, and really we were worried it wasn’t going to live up to the hype. We’ve been dreaming and prepping for this pizza for so long. It could not dissapoint.
One of the things we love with our food is just that lil bit of customisation. We loved that at HomeSlice they had the option to get half and half or just one flavour. So of course we got the half and half; opting for half margharita and half salami.
And let me tell you, oh let me tell you. It was beautiful. Delectable. Succulent and wonderful.
The crispy crust was cracking and it had the perfect floppiness in equal balance with the crisp and the crunch of the crust. That tomato base was enjoyably sweet and each mouthful was mesmerisingly delightful. Oh yes - this pizza lived up to the hype.
In saying that, we probably wouldn’t get the margharita again because as margharitas are it was a bit plain. But it’s important when you go somewhere new to make sure you try the plain flavour, so you can work out if it’s the pizza base and sauce or just the toppings that are giving it that luciousness.
Overall, it was really good. The salami was unmatched and we wish that we’d had space enough to try all of their different flavours - they just had so many and we can’t wait to go back. If you’re out and about and craving a slice of scumptious pizza - HomeSlice is where it’s at and you need to try it out!
We tried The most expensive cookie in london!
Fellow cookie officianados, when it comes to Cookie’s we know exactly what we’re talking about and when we hear about a deluxe cookie you know we have to try it. So we went out and found the MOST expensive cookie in London and we’re here to tell you all about it
Fellow cookie officianados, when it comes to Cookie’s we know exactly what we’re talking about and when we hear about a deluxe cookie you know we have to try it. So we went out and found the MOST expensive cookie in London and we’re here to tell you all about it, so that you can add a little cookie excitement to you day.
We headed off for our expedition into London - there’s always something exciting when you’re on a cookie hunt in London, and found ourselves at Hyde Park Station and heading to The Berkeley that is the home of world famous pastry chef - Cedric Grolet. Of course we were very excited to get stuck in.
So we enter in and we couldn’t believe it. This was unlike anything we’d ever seen. It was elite. Everything was elite. The building was elite. The layout was elite. The pastries looked elite. It was unreal. And you always know you’ve gone to the next level when you can’t find a price tag anywhere. This was no ordinary bakery - this was like an pastry art show.
The aesthetic was just incredible, we were loving it. Even more so we appreciated the staff who were lovely and so genuine. For a second we’re going take you away from the pastry and tell you about the toilets! Flipping heck - the toilets were amazing. We had so much fun because they had these awesome swirling vortex flushes and you know we just can’t help marvel at an incredible toilet.
The Food
We started our experiement with a fresh mint tea - just a little pallette cleanser before we delved into the baked delights. You will never guess how much this mint tea was… £9! We could not believe that they were charging almost £10 for a mint tea - it’s daylight robbery. What’s even crazier is that we paid it - the things we do for a fresh mint tea.
On to the Cookies. As stated we consider ourselves to be on the more experienced side of cookie tasting… an expert you may say… perhaps even a professional cookie taster so we feel we know what we’re talking about here.
I’ll justs say this… it was a good cookie, but it wasn’t amazing. The texture was slightly gritty and it didn’t have the soft, melty to die for texture that we look for, and in that the flavour was good but it wasn’t mind blowing fantastic. Fortunately, the pistacio cookie was much better in our opinion. It had the balance between sweet and salty and the texture had lost that grittiness of the first one but, it was NOT worth £25.
So there you have it… a good cookie, but not a great cookie! If you have the strength to pay £25 and try it for yourself - let us know what you think in the comments.
The Best Sandwhiches in London!
We’re not going to lie to you; here at Insert name here we love a sandwhich! Whether it’s a lil bite for lunch or an afternoon tea. We LOVE it. So we thought we would do some exploring and find some of London’s best sandwhich so you can join in with our passion.
We’re not going to lie to you; at Here and There we love a sandwhich! Whether it’s a lil bite for lunch or an afternoon tea. We LOVE it. So we thought we would do some exploring and find some of London’s best sandwhich so you can join in with our passion.
Here’s a little look at what happened:
The most expensive Sandwhich
We started off at a British fave, an icon, a symbol of British pride. You guessed it. It’s Harrod.
After having a little parousal of the offerings we found our most expensive sandwhich. It was a beautiful looking Wagyu steak sandwhich here is the official Harrods description:
Did somebody say Wagyu steak sandwich? Comprised of mouth-wateringly good Chillean Mollendo Wagyu sirloin, deep fried to perfection with a blushing pink centre.
But we think it was actually a bit over priced. It definitely had a good flavour, the dressing on the inside was nice and the steak was melt in your mouth. But… and this a big butt because you know we don’t like our bottoms soggy. THE BOTTOM OF THE SANDWHICH WAS MOIST. DAMP. SOGGY. So in our overall assessment we decided that this sandwhich was definitely not worth the £28 we paid for it.
The Least Expensive Sandwhich
Our second sandwhich is a lesser known favourite. A hidden gem you might say. And we’ve always said that the best places are the ones the locals go to eat. This place was picked with an assortment of different people and it had the cheapest sandwhich on offer - a classic cheese sammie for only £2.
This little gem is called the Maestro Deli and it had a heap of sandwhich options. The deli itself is comprised of local workers and they were absolutely lovely. Salt of the earth and put a smile on my face.
We love getting involved in the food we eat and we loved that in true deli form we got to choose our bread (classic white), we got the option of salt and pepper, and it’s made right in front of you.
Ahhh, nothing better than a good ol’ cheese sandwhich - flippin delicious.
We had so much fun finding these sandwhiches. Tell us in the comments your favourite sandwhich place or your favourite sandwhich (no matter how weird the filling).

Let’s take a look
Idea 1: Rug Making
There’s nothing better than learning a new skill! We love it! If you’re like us, the best way to spend a rainy Saturday afternoon is doing something creative! So why not go rug making - this was the most fun day out! You and your partner can get tufting - all you need to do is send in a design (make sure you don’t have any rugrets) as you can’t change it after. The whole process is super satisfying and we LOVED getting to tidy it up with the rug shaver - SO SATISFYING! The best part is you get to take a cute little rug home at the end of the day!
Here’s a few ideas we found!
and…
Idea 2: Food Markets
There nothing more fun that a little competition when dating! Obvs not too much… But, taking an afternoon out to go and explore a new food market is so much fun. We went and tried the Arcade Food Hall in Tottenham Court Road - the food was delicious and it was great having all the options. They even had a little app, so it just arrived at your table - LOVE! Why not set up a little challenge - like letting them pick your meal - or who can get the best food for under £10?
Here’s a few other markets to try:
or maybe….
Idea 3: Taste Film
We can’t quite believe it took us over a year to get tickets to Taste Film. But let me tell you it was well worth the hype and would be a very cute date! We went to see Ratatouille and it was incredible as they literarily bring you the food that you’re seeing on screen. They had every little detail thought of - and it was completely themed throughout. Our personal fave bit was the Leek and Potato soup - it had lil croutons and cheese! Of course they had to do the ratatouille and I loved that it came out and matched up with the quote - plus it was flipping delicious. The staff were great - and it even catered for non alcoholics.
Check it out - I think they’re doing Matilda at the moment!
We had so much fun finding all of these. Let us know in the comments your own unique date ideas - or if you’ve got any good rug designs! .
