We travelled 1.5 hours to visit the best bakery in London
Sometimes something keeps popping up on TikTok and it looks too good not to try! This was the case with this bakery… it looked UNREAL. So, we travelled 1 and a half hours on three different modes of transport just to get a taste of their sweet buttery goodness! Check out the adventure down below:
We walked, bussed, and trained it to visit this haven of baked goods. You’ll find Toad Bakery in Camberley in SE London and they do the most amazing pastries. They’ve got a wonderful selection and the thing we love most is that they’re not just the same ol' pastries you’d see in your standard bakery.

On all the Tiktok’s we looked at they said that there were always really long queues… just another great sign of how good it is right? But, of course we went on the hottest day of the year, and that sun really did clean those queues out. It’s always great when queueing isn’t an issue - just gives everything that sweet breezy feeling, especially in that heat! Eeek.
But oh my goodness golly. This bakery is worth it. It was absolutely fan-tastic! The staff were beyond lovely, the atmosphere was fun and friendly and we loved the baked goods. They had some of the classics like croissants and cinnamon buns - which the Family are always a big fan of. But, we loved the combination of some more alternative ideas - and they really did work! Also, who doesn’t love that their bread is all Sourdough?
Toad Bakery is absolutely worth it - even if you’re an hour away!
